You know what I just realized?! I have not been to the beach at all this summer. Not once! Usually every summer, I’ll go at least once. It just hasn’t worked out this year yet. The summer isn’t over though, maaaaybe I’ll go before it ends! But honestly, if you are in the Houston area and have any tips on where to have a nice beach experience in nearby shores, let me know because I have had a hard time finding a good spot.
For now, I’ll have to live vicariously through Sami who is going to Cabo San Lucas! I’m so jealous. As we were talking about her trip, we found a bunch of ideas and thought we’d share them with you. So even though there are only a few weeks left of summer, we’re going to give you a list of 15 Beach Tips and Hacks that we love and want to try. Some of these are must do hacks that will change your whole beach experience! Read on!
1. DIY Beach Dress
Create your own beach dress out of a scarf! No need to go buy a new, expensive beach dress or cover-up, just make your own out of a scarf that you already have, like LilyGirl did.
2. Portable Beach Sounds
This water and sand resistant speaker and radio from Sunnylife is perfect for keeping the soundtrack to your adventures running. It even has a spot inside for you to put your phone or portable media player to keep them safe and protected. For less than $25, this is a must.


3. DIY Sea Salt Spray For Beachy Waves
Looking for a way to keep those lovely locks looking beach perfect? Check out this Sea Salt Spray Recipe from Naturally Curly for a DIY solution that you could easily pour into a travel sized bottle.
4. Baby Powder Sand Removal
Sand plus sweaty skin and sunscreen equals a sticky mess. I had no idea, but according to I Dream Of Clean, baby powder washes you clean from sand. This means…never forget the baby powder in your beach bag!
5. S’mores Snack Mix
We love this S’more Snack Mix from Mirlanda’s Kitchen. Delicious, easy and portable. Just load ’em in some plastic Ziploc bags or a jar and this is a practical lounging snack.
6. Aloe Vera Cubes For Sunburn
I usually don’t get sunburned, I just keep getting darker and darker and darker lol. But this is an awesome idea from The Dumbbelle to soothe your precious skin sunburns.
