So, for Valentine’s Day this year, Aaron gave me tickets to the Cirque Du Soleil Kurios Show! We were both so hyped and have been waiting for it for two months! Once we found out they were coming to the Sam Houston Race Park this year from April 6th – May 21st, Aaron jumped on those tickets.
And guys, it was amazing! If you have ever been KURIOS (I know, so clever) about buying tickets to see one of these shows, I would highly recommend you go for it. It’s awesome for all ages, too! The acrobats, the music, the costumes, the humor and so much more will keep everyone’s attention! Tickets start at just $35 and the tent is a good size to where you feel close wherever you’re sitting.
Inside the foyer portion of the tent, they have a bunch of typical theater concessions, interesting merchandise, and basic cocktails for people to browse and enjoy. That area opens up an hour before the show, so it’s nice for people to come and hang. Once they let people in to find their seats, characters are walking around the seats, interacting with the crowd and being funny.
I spotted this one guy who was walking towards us and held my phone up in a selfie waiting for him to come by so I could snap it, but was so surprised when he ended up posing for it lol. You can tell how surprised I was by the look on my face. I have heard people who have gone to other Cirque Du Soleil shows say that there was too much dancing or too much singing for their taste and that it made it not as entertaining for them. The Kurios show is not like that. It has a great balance of music, stunts, weird costumes, funny little stories and wowing talents. There was very little dialogue so young children won’t miss out on things that go over their head – it’s all just one big spectacle after another!
If you live near Houston, you should definitely check out the Kurios show before it leaves after May 21st! It’s the perfect date night or family night as it appeals to all ages and I could see people from all different walks of life fully enjoying it. I’m thankful to have little nights out like this with my man and I love that he likes experiencing new things with me.
Wow! Great overview of what this show is all about, not sure when I would make this happen, but thanks for sharing!!!
How exciting! No animals?
