As announced in our most recent Life Update, Aaron and I are expecting our first baby in early March 2019! We are totally beside ourselves with excitement, nervousness and all the emotions. Haha. We all know there are SO many things to think about when it comes to a baby…but honestly, I never knew how much and how many decisions I would have to make until now, obviously.
You’ve got strollers and cribs and clothes, oh my!
Bottles and bibs and toys, oh my!
Diapers and butt cremes, onesies and carseats, the little things that suck their boogers out, bouncers, highchairs, bath time things, wipes, changing pads, pacifiers and ALL THE THINGS!!
And now, there are so many options for EVERY LITTLE THING. Do I go with all the organic and all natural options? Or the super chic and fashionable items? Or do I just go practical/functional and cheap because there are already so many things that I’m spending money on to be choosing the cutest thing for every product? Lol. All the decisions are a little overwhelming.
If you’ve been following along on Aaron and I’s Journey To Debt Free Living and Renovating Adventures, you could probably gather that we try to be as low maintenance as possible. It’s kind of hard to be high maintenance when you’re living in a construction zone for two years in a row while renovating two rental homes. I’m thankful for those years though because it taught me to really accept the difference between needs and wants. So, with our new little baby girl coming along, I’m having to resist all the urges to buy all the cute baby girl things in excess! And still trying to prepare for a baby on a budget. Haha. I’ll save that for another blog post though.
This post is about the decision that I think is the most difficult to make.
CHOOSING A BABY NAME.
How on earth are we supposed to choose?!! It was hard enough naming our dogs!! Haha. You gotta think about if you want a super unique and meaningful name or maybe a classic and timeless name or maybe a name that is in the family. Not to mention trying to make sure you don’t pick a name that will make your kid the butt of all the jokes at recess in elementary school. It’s hard.
Plus, with Aaron’s family being English speakers and my family being bilingual, it’s very important to us that our baby girl has a name that sounds good and is easy to pronounce in both English and Spanish. I’m sure there are other families who are looking for the same, so I thought I’d share a list of 100 bilingual baby girl names. Enjoy!

From the list I like Aria and Kehlani!
Hi you 2, here are my choices/suggestions:
Aria, Eliana, Roxana & Zara. You don’t hear those names that often & they are not that many letters!😊
Quimi hope you are feeling good & y’all are enjoying your California Dreaming lifestyle💕
I’m late to the party, but am enjoying this list, as we have the same requirement when picking our baby names. My husband’s family all speaks Spanish, and mine all English. Our first daughter was born in 2016, and we named her Analí (hopefully the accent comes through on the i). Her name means “favored, Grace”. Our second was born in 2018 and is named Teresa, “harvester”. In English we call her Tessa because I love it and because I don’t care too much for the English pronunciation of Teresa, which most English speakers automatically do. Now I’m on my third pregnancy, and we have been oh-so-surprised with a double portion — twins!! We don’t know genders yet, but the ultrasound tech guessed one boy and one girl, so I am starting to look at names for both. Thank you for sharing your list, it’s helpful!
